The prestigious 2024 NPA Ibadan International Polo Tournament galloped into action on May 20th at the Ibadan Polo Club. Teams and players from across Nigeria, including Lagos, Port Harcourt, Jos, and Kano, are set to battle it out for polo supremacy over the next week; May 20th – 26th, 2024.

Leading the charge in the second match of the opening day were seasoned trailblazers Natalie Allan and Rita Alakija, both competing in the Ade Alakija Memorial Cup. Allan spearheaded the Ibadan Black The Edit Polo team, while Alakija, a rising star, led the Ibadan Durante-Meristem Polo team. Their presence on the pitch wasn’t just about competition – it was a powerful display of the growing presence of women in Nigerian polo.
